Krautkramer, Theresa (26 OCT 1915)
(Marathon Times)
Another pretty marriage ceremony took place hre Tuesday forenoon when our popular young schoolmaster, Matthew Brill of the town of Marathon, led Miss Theresa Krautkramer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Krautkramer, , to the altar at St. Mary’s Church, where Rev. W. Daniels pronounced over them the words that united them forever in the sacred bonds of matrimony.
The bride, who carried a beautiful shower bouquet of white roses and lilies of the valley, was attended by her sister, Miss Anna Krautkramer, and by Miss Rosa Kammenick, while Wm. Brill and Theodore Brill, the groom’s brothers of Colby, acted as best men. The bride’s little sister Adeline was the flower girl. The marriage ceremony at church was followed by a wedding celebration at the home of the bride’s parents, which celebration was attended by a limited number of relatives. The groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Brill and John Brill, all of Colby, were among those that were present. The celebration came to a jolly close in the evening when the newlyweds were treated to a fine serenade in the form of a genuine old fashioned charivari.
The bridal pair are now enjoying a honeymoon visit at the home of the groom’s parents in Colby. They will make their temporary home in the town of Marathon, where Mr. Brill has been employed as teacher of District Number One for the past three years and where he is very popular. The bride has grown up in this community and is a young lady of very estimable traits of character. Mr. Brill, the young Knight of the Garter, (Patoffelheld) is not only the best looking young fellow of this vicinity, but also a young man of excellent character and loft ambition.
